Breaking news, Cinderella Castle burned to the ground yesterday. The castle caught fire early in the morning and sent smoke pouring throughout the Magic Kingdom.
It took nearly an hour for firefighters to respond and start battling the flames. However, by that time it was too late. Cinderella Castle was already fully engulfed in flames. The firefighters battled it throughout the day and night as guests and onlookers watched the tragedy unfold.
They did everything they could to save the castle and prevent as much damage as possible. However, the castle ended up burning to the ground and is unsalvagable. This is causing people to ask many questions. They are wondering why it took firefighters so long to get to the scene.
Also, many are wondering how they were unable to put it out. The other question is how did the fire start? Disney and the Reedy Creek Fire Department have yet to cite what caused the fire. We reported earlier here that Disney had plans to remove the castle at the end of the 50th anniversary, but that got a lot of backlash.
A lot of people are speculating that Disney intentionally started this fire. That would allow them to burn Cinderella Castle down, but make it look like an accident. In fact, this is the most promising and likely theory.
Disney has long wanted to get rid of Cinderella Castle and replace it with something more iconic and profitable like a Spirit Halloween, Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated, or Elsa’s Castle. However, for now, Disney has a cover for destroying the iconic castle. Only time will tell you what will replace it.
