Fish at popular prices: a collective effort that resonates in the community
“The truth is that people responded very well, as they always respond in this area, it is crazy. We have brought more than 50 boxes and I don’t know if we have 10 boxes of fish left,” he shared Jesús Pérez in an interview with AIREevidencing the strong support of the community for this initiative.
The sale takes place in JJ Paso and Francia, southern area of the city of Santa Fe, where, despite the long hours, the team strives to reopen in the afternoon to continue supplying the local population.

The Association offers from Pati at 1800 pesos per kilo to attractive promotions such as “3 kilos for 5,000 pesos” or “7 kilos for 10,000 pesos”, thinking especially of large families who celebrate Holy Week with the tradition of eating fish. In addition, products such as empanadas and milanesas are prepared with the freshest fish, guaranteeing quality and flavor.
Jesús Pérez highlights the mission behind this offer: “We want Santa Fe residents to get their fish too because this is a form of domestic consumption.” This commitment extends to providing quality food at affordable prices, promoting the local economy.

Faced with challenges, resilience
The Alto Verde Fishermen’s Civil Association faces significant challenges, such as the recent deactivation of its cooperative due to government decisions. “Yesterday we found out that the cooperative was terminated,” Pérez revealedhighlighting the importance of this entity for the functioning and sustenance of its community.
Despite these difficulties, the Association’s spirit of struggle and commitment has not diminished. “We depend on the work, which we do every day, we do not live far away,” said Pérez, asking the government to reconsider its position so as not to affect workers and their families.
Extended Commitment: Popular Pots and More
The solidarity of the Civil Association of Fishermen of Alto Verde transcends the sale of fish. They announced the making of popular pots, as an additional initiative to support those in vulnerable situations. “On Wednesday a popular stew will be made in Villa del Campo,” Pérez announced, reaffirming the Association’s commitment to the community as a whole.
