This Sunday the event known as Travel Oulet “I’m going to Salta” will take place on Paseo Libertad Lugones in Córdoba starting at 2 p.m.
The event will feature a performance by the popular singer-songwriter duo from Salta, Ramón “Chaya” Barrionuevo and Luis “Tucán” Peretti. Known in the music world as Tucán and Chaya, these talented artists have been together for more than a decade, performing more than 150 live shows and participating in the most important festivals in the country.
In 2011, Luis “Tucán” Peretti left Grupo Savia and Ramón “Chaya” Barrionuevo left the group Vale Cuatro to form Tucán y Chaya. With the musical production of Juan José “Colo” Vasconcellos, member of the group Ahyre, and the unconditional support of Mario Teruel, member of Los Nocheros, the duo entered the national record market.
As authors and composers, Tucán and Chaya have created almost 80% of their repertoire. In their ascending career, they have recorded two CDs, “Tucán y Chaya” and “Escencial”, as well as eight singles produced by Fernando “Zurdo” Borjas.
In these ten years of experience, Tucán and Chaya have toured stages throughout the country, participating in different clubs and festivals such as Cosquín in Córdoba, Festival del Poncho in Catamarca, Serenata a Cafayate in Salta and Fescióran in Salta.
His songs have transcended the borders of our country and have reached Bolivia. Without a doubt, Tucán and Chaya are a duo to follow in the Argentine music scene.
