As Luis Eduardo Noya Pérez39 years old, the retired military officer from the municipality of Caucasia – Antioquia was identified. who died in the middle of a bombing that occurred in the city of kyiv, in Ukraine.
According to family members, the Caucasian traveled to that country on March 30, 2024 in order to find better opportunities for both himself and his family. but it all ended in tragedy when a Russian bomber took his life. They say that the relatives found out about the event because a colleague called from the deceased’s cell phone to give the news.
“He said before leaving for Ukraine that he was leaving to give us a better future thinking of us and the child. That was his goal,” Kelly Rendón, Luis Eduardo’s wife, told Teleantioquia.
The Ombudsman’s Office informed the media that they will help the family with the work of repatriating the body, Although this process is long, it requires at least a month.
