The representative of Santa Marta, Edwar Orozco, revealed some irregularities related to the public lighting service in the citywhich was denounced at the time by the councilor, Pedro Gómez.
According to the information provided by the control entity, Since 2018, the Santa Marta Council granted powers to the Mayor of the District, so that the provision of public service non-domestic public lighting will be carried out by the Public Services Company of the District of Santa Marta ESSMAR and, since it did not have the expertise, it outsourced the work to the Conlus Consortium.
Among the findings found are:
Contracts for the purchase of anchetas and payment of hotels.
Contracts for the purchase of software licenses, leasing of platforms and the supply of computing equipment that They were paid with public lighting resources.
Payments for the purchase of insurance policies, to insure ESSMAR assets.
