The disappearance of an ambulance and its crew raises concern in the northern province of Chaco.

The community of El Impenetrable, particularly the cities of El Sauzalito and Castelli, are located on high alert for the disappearance of an ambulance 48 hours ago, Diario Chaco publishes.

The vehicle left on Tuesday and there is no information about it, it is as if it had been swallowed by the earth, the authorities said.

The ambulance left with two patients towards Castelli and when it returned to El Sauzalito the trace was lost.

Throughout that area there was copious rain that would have exceeded 130 millimeters.

According to the provincial police, the people whose whereabouts or that of the ambulance is still unknown are the driver. Emanuel Garcés and nurse Carina Agüero.

What could have happened to the ambulance in Chaco

“We were alerted and began to work with the Municipalities of Fuerte Esperanza, El Sauzalito and Miraflores to track alternative routes. The El Sauzalito firefighters have already made a tour from a section that is dirt and there is no sign, the ambulance is not there,” said Marta Zoneira, former provincial official and collaborator with the mayors of El Impenetrable.

In that sense, he assured Chaco Diary that they are seeing “different alternative routes and for that the mayors of the towns in the area sent motorcycles and now tractors are going but they are going at a different speed, therefore we are waiting for their arrival to provide an alternative along route 100.”

The search is being carried out in an area where part of the route that goes from Fuerte Esperanza and from Las Hacheras to Armonía and Nueva Población has been completed to carry out a search in the area.

“We have two versions about whether they took patients too. We have one that says they have gone back to Sauzalito, so we are very concerned about the situation. Almost two days have passed since the ambulance left, El Impenetrable is a large area with several alternative roads that the drivers know but when the weather is like this there can be a lot of time left in the place and we hope that it is only cloudy,” said Soneira.

In that sense, he assured that “the residents of the area are mobilizing and we are all creating a network to find them.” In addition, he indicated that a mayor made a request to the provincial Minister of Health to have the possibility of hiring a helicopter to carry out an aerial search of the area.

On the other hand, the director of Health Zone V, Ernesto Fedinczik, assured that the search began after complaints made by relatives of the El Sauzalito hospital and due to the absence of the driver, a nurse and an ambulance that belongs to the hospital. of the town.

“The last time the ambulance saw him was in the town of Miraflores on Tuesday at 10 pm. From there we have no more news because it has not reached its destination, which is the town of El Sauzalito,” he told Diario Chaco.

The Government of Chaco does not rule out calling the Air Force to collaborate with the search.
