Last Sunday, seven members of the roster of the host Cienfuegos were expelled, in the middle of a final duel of a particular confrontation against Camagüey, in the 63rd National Baseball Series.

After the analysis carried out on the events that occurred at the 5 de Septiembre stadium, the National Baseball Commission (CNB) announced the sanctions of the local players who attacked the referees at the end of that fifth game.

The CNB determined, in addition to the suspension of the game that corresponds to them for being expelled, to apply the following disciplinary measures:

– Jorge Rodríguez (director): ban from participating in seven games.

– Catcher Richel López and outfielder Félix Rodríguez: ban from participating in five games.

– Shortstop Luis Vicente Mateo and pitchers Luis Serpa and Samuel Calderón: ban from participating in three games.

– Gardener Dany Orama: prohibition to intervene in a game.

The CNB reiterated that it will be vigorous in the face of any manifestation of violence.
