Roof blasting caused last Wednesday the 24th the strong winds that were felt in the region, specifically with the blasting of a structure located on the route that connects Coyhaique with Balmaceda.

The image of a warehouse whose roof was torn off from its base by the wind and fell on the berm and road on the Ruta 7 Sur route was spread on social networks. The image also shows that part of the material landed dangerously on an electric lighting pole.

Firefighters and Carabineros recommend, given the weather conditions, to drive with caution and pay attention to the conditions of the different routes in the region.

According to the CIEP-UACh Ecoclimatic Laboratory, of the Climate and Pollution line of the Patagonian Ecosystem Research Center (CIEP), wind gusts could reach 70 km/h, especially on the central-northern coast, there is also the probability of snow in high sectors of the region.
