“This is a normal operational event and what is expected is that once the high turbidity passes, it will be captured again and the regular process will follow”Jiménez explained, clarifying that this does not mean that the supply will stop.
Regarding the La Reforma plant, it is also stopped due to high turbidity, but La Rivera is operating normally to supply that population.
70% of Cali homes, which are supplied by the work of the Puerto Mallarino plant, located next to the Cauca River, noticed a drop in pressure or a cut in supply for a few minutes. The Aqueduct Manager explained that this was due to the fact that the plant presented an event due to the electrical storm that was occurring in the city.
