With a focus on regional development INACAP La Serena holds Entrepreneurship Week

Within the framework of the celebrations of the National Entrepreneurship Day, on April 29, INACAP developed Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative promoted by the Directorate of Linkage with the Environment and Innovation of INACAP La Serena, the days included talks and conversations to entrepreneur fairs, which took place during the week of April 22 to 26.

The activity designed to inspire and train the community in the business field brought together prominent entrepreneurs from the Coquimbo region. In this regard, the Director of Liaison with the Environment and Innovation of INACAP La Serena Headquarters, Luis Arias, highlighted that “we are interested in celebrating this event to show students that entrepreneurship is a path and they can create the life they want, generate their own jobs and not necessarily depend on finding a job outside. Deep down, we hope that this allows you to learn about the offer that INACAP has to support entrepreneurship and that the actors who joined us this week can support you or link you to your ideas or ventures.”

The day began on Monday, April 22, with the first of the talks, with the presentation of the Commercial Engineer and gastronomic entrepreneur, Frano Petit, who shared about his experience in the field of gastronomy with his ventures the Hamburguesería Ciudad Capital and the Bar Restaurant Cisternas 2039. Petit referred to the importance of INACAP generating these instances of linking with entrepreneurs in the region and added that “it is very relevant that these spaces are generated in which we can share with students in training; We can help by giving them advice that allows them to shorten their path and consider other variables. These are instances that do not always occur, so it is important to take advantage of them.”

For the Vice-Rector of INACAP La Serena Headquarters, Soledad Landsberger, one of the most notable activities of the week was the discussion “Women who Inspire: Teaching and entrepreneurship”, highlighting that “our entrepreneurial teachers were able to share their experience, highlighting the importance of generating these conversations about transferring experiences to the students, so that they can see and hear from the protagonists how they made the decision to undertake, how they did it and how they got up when things did not work out, I feel these are inspiring and motivating experiences to the “Time to generate your own entrepreneurship.”

Entrepreneurship Week has not only been an opportunity to inspire and train the community in the business field, but also to strengthen ties between INACAP La Serena, regional entrepreneurs and students. With the success of this initiative, INACAP’s commitment to the economic and social development of the region is reinforced, and the door opens to future collaborations and projects that further promote the entrepreneurial spirit in the community.
