In the commemorative context for May Day in the central province, the labor movement awarded the Jesús Menéndez Medal to 70 Sancti Spiritus members affiliated with the Energy and Mines, Culture, Civil Defense and Public Administration unions.
“We honor valuable men and women, who have been contributing to the economy, food production, and culture for many years. It is a gesture of gratitude from the union movement to people who have given everything in their workplace and who also have great social recognition,” said Ekaterina Gowen Dickinson, general secretary of the Cuban Workers’ Central (CTC) in the territory. .
