From birth, children must begin their vaccination schedule, which will guarantee a full life without the risk of suffering from fatal diseases.

Therefore, it is important to comply with established times to access biological products: Newborns, two, four, six, seven, 12, 18 months and five years.

“In addition, nine-year-old girls and boys should be vaccinated against the human papillomavirus. If they do not keep scheduled appointments, they may risk suffering serious illnesses,” explained Olga Díaz, a nursing assistant at the USI.

The Ibagué Health Unit has different locations throughout the city, where it offers the vaccination service for the population to start or complete their scheme. It should be remembered that they are free and are aimed at the entire population.

There is availability in the five intermediate units and in eight health centers: La Francia, 20 de Julio, Ambalá, La Gaviota, La Cima, Topacio, Jardín and Ciudad Ibagué.

The hours of operation are from 8:00 in the morning to 12:00 noon and from 2:00 to 4:30 in the afternoon. You can go to the service without an appointment, and the only requirement is to bring your vaccination card and a copy of your identification document.
