During Children’s Month, the road safety campaign will reach grades 1 to 5 of primary school, in 22 official institutions in 16 municipalities in the department of Atlántico.

Campo de la Cruz, April 24, 2024. The Atlantic Transit Institute is proud to announce the launch of its educational initiative “Road Safety at School: Stop, Observe and Go”, which has as its main objective teaching a culture of safety road to the boys and girls of the department of Atlántico, with the goal of reducing the risk of road accidents and protecting all actors on the roads.

With the motto “Stop, Observe and Go”, the campaign seeks to instill in young students habits and knowledge that are essential for their safety and that of others while traveling through the streets.

Starting on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in the town of Bohórquez in the municipality of Campo de la Cruz, the Atlantic Transit Institute will launch this campaign with a series of educational, interactive and recreational activities in different schools throughout the department, with the purpose of raising children’s awareness about the importance of respecting traffic rules and adopting safe behavior when traveling.

The campaign will be activated in the institutions of the municipalities of Baranoa, Campo de la Cruz, Piojó, Tubará, Juan de Acosta, Santo Tomas, Palmar de Varela, Polonuevo, Manatí, Candelaria, Suan, Santa Lucía, Ponedera, Luruaco, Repelón and Usiacuri, in the towns of Bohórquez, Puerto Giraldo and Villa Rosa.

“Road safety is a vitally important issue that must be addressed from an early age. With this campaign, we want to provide our boys and girls with the necessary tools so that they can move safely on the roads, protecting their integrity and that of others. others,” highlighted the director of the Atlantic Transit Institute, Carlos Granados.

“Road Safety at School: Stop, Observe and Go” will have the active participation of road educators, traffic agents and road safety specialists, who will give talks, workshops and dynamics designed specifically for each age group. In addition, teaching materials will be distributed and awareness-raising activities will be promoted in the school community and families.

The Atlantic Transit Institute invites the entire community in general to join this important initiative, which seeks to protect and train future generations of drivers and pedestrians. Together, we can build a safer and more responsible road environment for everyone.
