Mayor Pablo Javkin participated at noon this Friday, April 26, together with Governor Maximiliano Pullaro, Vice Governor Gisela Scaglia and the president of the Rosario Stock Exchange (BCR) Miguel Simioni, in the Auction of the 1st batch of soybeans of the 2023/24 harvest that, as is tradition, the city’s emblematic institution organizes every year on the occasion of the arrival of the first batch to Plaza Rosario.

During the activity, the head of the local Executive spoke about the importance for the city of the now traditional auction of the first batch of soybeans, and recalled: “62 years ago the ship Alabama left Rosario for Hamburg, with 6,000 tons of soybeans. It was the first export of soybeans from the Argentine Republic.”

“In Argentina, if one looks from that moment until now, in almost all indicators of economic development we fell. Now, in those that have to do with the push of the productive interior, with the production of food, then with the incorporation of the link between production, science and technology, with what the development of companies linked to the biotechnology in the region, everything went up,” the mayor continued.

In that sense, Javkin stated that “if Argentina seeks a north and wants to base itself on experiences that have gone well; those that turned out well are those that were generated from the productive interior,” and added: “And if we ever managed to get the country to seek to develop from the productive interior to the center and not the other way around, have no doubt that the arrow will accompany the one we have had since that first batch shipped and not the one that we unfortunately see in many of the social indicators of Argentina.”

“The answers that this country needs are linked to providing infrastructure, putting resources into the productive interior and taking advantage of the enormous advantage generated by the development of this production with its link that today it has with science and technology, with education and with knowledge. ”, insisted the municipal chief.

A special thank you

During his speech, the president dedicated a few words to offer special thanks to all those present for the support that Rosario received last March, within the framework of the complex situation of violence that the city went through. “We saw a plan organized again from prisons, from people who were deprived of their liberty, who searched, as it was verified because the accusations and hearings have already been made and the prosecutors have done an enormous job to clarify it, to try to paralyze us,” express.

And he continued: “Paralyzing public services, paralyzing the essential services of a city and hijacking a political decision, which is to go all out in the search for peace for our people with the persecution of criminal gangs that often order deaths. in our city even though we are deprived of our freedom.”

“In those days, the entire arc of this city, and with a very important role in our Stock Exchange, in participation in the Multisectorial for peace, had direct, forceful and absolute support,” Javkin thanked, and asked: “Do not relax, do not change the firm attitude to fight, beyond the fact that obviously these attitudes generate the things we experience.”

“We do not believe that any task has been completed because this is a path that takes a long time, but today we are in a different situation than the one we experienced that week,” said the municipal chief, and remarked: “That community strength that is what what we see here today. Each auction of a batch of soybeans is ultimately a meeting of a community, of the community of our city, of the community of the productive interior of Argentina, and of the community that is determined to fight so that federalism is a word with substance. ”.

“At this meeting of this community I could not not tell you, not thank you for your support during those days; not to be grateful for the firmness that has been taken, not to be grateful for the fact that for the first time in a long time we have the presence that we need from the support of federal forces, we have an enormous job inside the prisons and on the street with the presence of our forces of security”, celebrated the mayor, and closed: “We have to go for more, and we have to do many things all the time at the same time. That was our commitment, that is the support we felt, and I sincerely wanted to end this event by thanking you enormously.”
