The Government Peace Delegation with the THE N publicly requested the President Gustavo Petro make a decision regarding the future of the national peace process with that guerrilla, as well as what has to do with the dialogues of regional nature in Nariño with the Southern Community Front.
“(The delegation) Requests the president as head of state, make the decision you consider about continuing to develop the work of the national dialogue table with the ELN, or advance a dialogue table with the Nariño structure or determine that said structure has ceased to be part of the organization with which it is negotiating at the national level, to develop an autonomous process with it,” the statement indicates.

The above, at the conclusion of the delegation that two peace processes cannot be carried out at the same time with the same organization “in this case a national dialogue table like the one that exists today with the ELN, and another in a process with a guerrilla front. “Such a circumstance is legally and politically unfeasible,” the delegation stated.
Additionally, the group of negotiators recognized that “removing rifles from the bloody confrontation that the country is experiencing is an obligation of the government, as is responding to the fatigue of the communities in the face of the violence they suffer daily.”
