The Association of Industrial Mining Suppliers (APRIMIN) expresses solidarity with the relatives of the police officers vilely murdered by terrorist groups, and offers its condolences to the family, the police force, as well as its General Director, Mr. Ricardo Yáñez.
We urgently demand that the President of the Republic decree a state of siege in the province of Arauco and expressly declare that the Carabineros of Chile will have full powers to defend and attack, with the rules of privileged legitimate defense.
We make it a duty to declare our admiration and gratitude for the brave and noble institution of the Carabineros of Chile, giving them our full support without limits in the privileged use of the force of the State of which they are depositaries.
Likewise, we emphatically declare that General Yáñez must continue in his position, in recognition of his enormous work of recovering citizen support in Carabineros that exceeded 70%. Otherwise, the legitimacy of the actions of the uniformed police will be diminished and citizen peace will be affected.
