An earthquake with superficial characteristics occurred on the afternoon of this Sunday, April 28confirmed the Colombian Geological Service (SGC). The earthquake had the department of Meta as its epicenter.
It occurred at 5:38 pm with a magnitude of 3.5. Its epicenter was located 18 kilometers from the municipality of Cubarral. Furthermore, its depth was less than 30 kilometers.
Citizens claimed, through social networks, to have perceived the movement in Acacías, Guamal, Villavicencio and other surrounding towns.
At the moment, the authorities do not report any type of eventuality.
The SGC has invited citizens to report when they feel the tremors, filling out the Sensed Earthquake form (https://sismosentido.sgc.gov.co), with the aim that the authorities have more information about these events.

- Remember that to receive alerts you must keep your device’s GPS or location activated.
