The Industrial Union of Entre Ríos (UIER) held an Assembly this Tuesday in Paraná in which the new authorities for the period 2024-2026 were defined. Then, the expanded meeting included the participation of Governor Rogelio Frigerio.

By consensus, Gabriel Bourdin (Petropack) will continue as president Of the entity. He will be accompanied in driving by Celeste Valenti (Cremigal) as 1st vice president, Claudio Lambert (Lambert Brothers) as 2nd vice president, Eduardo Tonutti (Tonutti Dairy) as 3rd vice president; and Josefina Senger (Johnson Acero) as a secretary.

In his speech, Bourdin provided an analysis of the provincial and national scenario, in which he warned of the drop in production and sales levels in various sectors, with special attention to the vulnerability of SMEs. In addition, he warned of the tariff impact, fiscal pressure and existing infrastructure problems, which add to the challenges facing imports and financing problems.

“We face significant challenges that require our unity and determination to overcome. It is essential that we work together, in collaboration with authorities and other relevant actors, to implement solutions that drive the growth and competitiveness of our industry in Entre Ríos. Let us continue with optimism and hope to continue growing,” said Bourdin.

To its turn, Frigerio He congratulated the authorities who took over at UIER and raised the need to continue working together with the private sector. In this context, he recognized “the very complex reality” that the province and the country are going through, but noted that “The way out is production and formal private employment, you are our allies to generate quality employment.”

Likewise, he highlighted: “We have to generate a development plan and the national government also has to go down that path. The adjustment plan is not enough. That’s where the story begins.”
