During the commemoration of the hundred years of the Comptroller’s Office of the Valley, the governor of the Valley, Dilian Francisca Toro, stated that “we are committed to strengthening transparent and integral public management, showing with figures that today place us as one of the departments with higher transparency rates in the country.”

The president congratulated the entity for its valuable contribution to the development of the Department and reiterated the commitment to transparency in the management of her government.

The governor’s intervention took place within the framework of the discussion “Decentralization and territorial autonomy”, in which former regional and national comptrollers participated, analyzing the current panorama of fiscal control in the region.

Toro said that “decentralization has to continue to exist, I wish we had autonomy because that is the Constitution and it speaks of autonomy and decentralized regions.”

For her part, the Departmental Comptroller, Ligia Stella Chávez, highlighted the importance of “having a legal mandate that must be fulfilled, since we need the same tools that the Comptroller General of the Republic has to continue generating trust and strengthening ourselves as an institution.”

lma Carmenza Erazo, former auditor general, congratulated the centenary Valle del Cauca institution for being the second oldest Comptroller’s Office in the country and made the call to Congress, “because these 100 years show the strengthening of the processes, which mature over time and are sustainable in the same”.

At the event, the Departmental Assembly awarded the “Knight’s Cross” to the Comptroller’s Office of Valle del Cauca.

At the award ceremony, deputy Carlos Felipe López highlighted that “from the Assembly we emphasize that we work as a team, we respect political differences. But, what we show is that today, Valle del Cauca is united for one reason, to extract and defend each of the spaces in our territory. We are showing support for Governor Dilian Francisca Toro, in each of her initiatives and to those who we have to make observations we do it as a team, because the only thing we deserve is to win as a department.”

On this day, the presentation of the book “Departmental Comptroller the Centenario Comptroller” was also made.
