San Luis Potosi 2024 started with a vigorous rebound in industrial activity, especially in the manufacturing sector, achieving growth of 10.02 percentreported the National Institute of Statistic and Geography (INEGI).

According to Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by Federal Entity (IMAIEF), in January 2024 and with seasonally adjusted figures, the states that recorded the most pronounced monthly growth in their industrial activity, in real terms, were: Oaxaca, San Luis Potosi, Campeche and Puebla.

It adds that, in the first month of 2024, at an annual rate and with seasonally adjusted series, the states that presented the most significant increases in their industrial production, in real terms, were: Quintana RooCampeche, Oaxaca and San Luis Potosí.

In manufacturing industries, the report states, the highest advances were observed in Oaxaca, San Luis Potosí, Mexico state and Aguascalientes.

During the month of January, 19 entities of the country observed falls in their industrial activity; while 13including San Luis Potosí, there were increases ranging from three to 12 percent.

In its annualized comparison with respect to January 2023, the increase in activity
industrial was 8.8 percent.

Meanwhile, the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) reported that, during the last year, in San Luis Potosí there were 14 thousand 314 sources of work permanent.

The accumulated number of insured workers in the entity at the end of April is 486 thousand 631 jobs.
