Panorama: The Ramblers will arrive this Saturday at the Plaza de Armas of Coquimbo

A magical afternoon, which seeks to bring wonderful years to the present, will be carried out by the Municipality of Coquimbo through a great day called “Happy Days, A Look at the Past”, which this Saturday, May 4, from 12:00 p.m. in the Plaza de Armas, will bring together groups, musicians and different performances that will recreate the best of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Guests of honor will be “The Ramblers”, a jazz and rock and roll band formed in Chile in November 1959 and which has classics such as El Rock del Mundial, Mucho amor, Prende una wick, Never, Yesterday I saw her, To my beloved, Memories in the rain, What a lolita, You are exquisite and Without saying goodbye, among others.

Along with them there will be other period musical bands such as “Los Viejos Negros” and “Plan 7”, as well as “Los Poseídos del horror”, a group of professional artists who develop radio plays, choosing for this occasion the story The sinister Doctor Mortis.

The coordinator of the Department of Culture, Hugo Prado, invited the community to be part of this festival of history and heritage. “Within the framework of this new communal anniversary we wanted to organize this day full of nostalgia and joy. Although it is intended for the entire family, the invitation is focused on our parents and grandparents so that they come to remember, enjoy and feel that they are considered by our management. We greatly value what they know and we want them to share with their children and grandchildren the memories, the music that gave them so much joy and the stories that also terrified them along with a radio. I hope the clubs organize themselves and this Saturday we have a square full of joy and good energy.”

There will also be a group of vehicles from the 60s, as well as motorcycle collectors. Historian Juan Valdivia will exhibit his private collection of heritage antiques dating from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Football will not be left out. For the occasion there will be a complete exhibition with the history of Coquimbo Unidos and soccer players dressed in the style of the first years in which this sport began to be played in Chile and in the commune, particularly. Victorianos del Barrio Inglés will also be present with everything that their research and period costumes imply, remembering the years of economic and social effervescence of the port sector.

One of the most complete collections of the Coquimbo Civic Battalion will be added, a unit made up of natural people from the region who fought in the Pacific War (1879).

The prioritization of the Elderly in the current Buenos Aires building management is reflected in different actions that benefit them, highlighting the high progress of the Comprehensive Center that is being built in the former Teletón building in Baquedano, which will have a series exclusive benefits for them as a branch of BancoEstado and Civil Registry, among others.
