Exclusively for Prensa Latina, Gerard Casas, artistic promoter from Spain, reported that the youth art festival brings together for the first time representatives from various nations for the creation of the Caribbean Resource Center for Artistic and Cultural Entrepreneurship (Creac) with the imperative to promote cultural development.

The young promoter is attending the May Pilgrimage for the first time and states that he intends to learn more about how in Cuba culture is involved in the population from a very young age and at the community level; He in turn hopes to discover new artists.

For her part, Roberta Bernoco, from Italy, highlighted that the purpose of the project is to work on creativity and youth, which are fundamental objectives of art, its promotion and development.

He pointed out that in Cuba art and culture are seen as a human right; very different from other countries, so the Caribbean nation is a laboratory to do together.

According to the Cuban coordinator of the project, Danelis Hernández, the May Pilgrimage will be the nucleus of Creac for three years.

During this period, they will carry out training actions in all artistic manifestations, because it is essential to establish a network of collaboration and exchange of experiences that facilitates the articulation of efforts and resources for the development of the artistic and cultural sector.

Hernández stressed that the project arose from the need to prepare artists, teachers of the artistic education system, cultural promoters and art instructors, in order to better adapt teaching to local opportunities and priorities in terms of ethical cultural endeavors, inclusive and sustainable.

It is led by the Hermanos Saíz Association and is made up of a network of professionals and organizations from the Caribbean and Europe, including: the Italian Association Arci Culture, the Institute for the Development of the Associative Economy of the Dominican Republic, the non-governmental organization Manifesto of Jamaica and the Africa Moment project from Spain.

They also aim to provide artists with access to skills, techniques, tools and practices that stimulate entrepreneurship in the sector from approaches relevant to the region and that give visibility to individual and collective talent.

Creac seeks to raise awareness about the potential and capabilities that artistic and cultural endeavors provide for their professional development, communities and the promotion of cultural diversity, he indicated.
