While the investigative process progresses to clarify the death of the 8-year-old girl who appeared lifeless in a wooded area of Girón, Q’hubo learned of a new version of the events, which is the subject of investigation.

During the hearing held against Alirio Gualdrón Rojas, last Thursday, May 2, where he was charged with the crime of aggravated forced disappearance and was sent to prison, the Prosecutor’s Office stated that the man had initially indicated that some subjects kidnapped his minor. .

“He was asked if he knew the whereabouts of the girl and he stated that he did not. After showing her the videos of her, she accepted that he took her, but that some subjects had taken her away from him”, this testimony was revealed by the Prosecutor’s Office during the hearings.

However, this version is a matter of investigation, since there are inconsistencies in the story. To begin with, he did not report the abduction of the minor by third parties in time and he is also questioned why he waited for the Police to arrest him to reveal what happened.

The Prosecutor’s Office did not believe this testimony and that is why Alirio Gualdrón Rojas was charged with the crime of aggravated forced disappearance.

The lawyer for the little girl’s family, Víctor Colmenares, confirmed this hypothesis to Q’hubo, but they hope that justice will clarify what happened.

“We trust in justice. For now, according to the evidence, it is completely clear that he took her from the scene of the events and he would be the alleged perpetrator of what happened,” said the lawyer and social leader.

The progress of the investigations is expected to determine at the trial stage whether the crime of homicide is also charged and whether there was sexual abuse against the girl.

On Tuesday they could deliver the body of the minor

No later than Tuesday, the Institute of Legal Medicine of Bucaramanga would deliver the body of the girl murdered in Girón to her relatives.

Last night, Friday, May 3, a vigil was held in front of the institution’s headquarters in the Campohermoso neighborhood where loved ones asked for speed in the process.

“We managed to speed up the process and spoke with the regional director of Forensic Medicine who confirmed that the samples to identify the girl came out on Friday afternoon (May 3). On Monday they would analyze them and on Tuesday as soon as they deliver it we could claim the little girl’s body,” said lawyer Víctor Colmenares.

The regional director of the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences in Bucaramanga, Jorge Humberto Rueda, had told Q’hubo that a commission traveled to Bogotá with the little girl’s DNA samples for full identification.

“The Penal Code tells us that we must carry out the technical and legal identification processes. The minor is a Venezuelan citizen who does not have identification in Colombia, the mother has a baptism certificate, but that is not enough. We must identify her, confirm the blood relationship with the relatives, that is why we took a DNA sample from the mother, and with the results, we can deliver the body, so that it is understood that it is not on a whim,” said the director.

Furthermore, since it was a violent death, the body is at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office who are in charge of authorizing the delivery.

“The prosecutor handling the case has not approved the surrender. We ask the family for patience, these are normal procedures that are carried out in these cases of violent deaths. We are doing everything humanly possible and next week we can deliver the body so that the family can bury it,” added Jorge Humberto Rueda.

In addition, the official confirmed that the body of the minor could not be transferred to Venezuela, despite the fact that the mother, Kelly Johana Materán Rivero, had the intention that the funeral would take place in the state of Trujillo in the neighboring country, where she lived before. of migrating four years ago to Colombia.

One of the reasons for not being able to take the body is that the alleged murderer, Alirio Gualdrón Rojas, 59 years old, has not accepted that he murdered her and other technical expertise will be required on the little girl’s corpse to clarify the facts.

What also remains to be determined are the causes of his death and whether there was violent sexual intercourse.

“What we know so far is that the minor’s body shows trauma. The final opinion will be issued by the expert and sent to the Attorney General’s Office,” the official added.

The blows, both to the head and one of them with an open wound, would point to a homicide as has been suspected since the day the minor was found in the vicinity of the Girón Metroline Station, on May 1.
