Paolo Meneguzzi shared with the woman who is walking from Chiloé to Santiago in order to make visible the difficult illness that her little son Tomás is experiencing.
Through his social networks, the renowned Italian singer said that he tried to meet in Puerto Varas with Camila Gomez, the mother who started this crusade. Although he didn’t make it, he was finally able to share with her on the road.
In a desperate attempt to raise funds for his son’s treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophyCamila undertook this long walk of more than 1,200 kilometers.
In turn, the mother hopes to raise the $3.5 billion needed to pay for a medication that could change her son’s life.
“I was in Chiloé at my concert and a man asked me ‘greetings for Tomas’ and told me a little about Tomas’s story,” the performer began by saying on his Instagram account.
“By sharing the video they tag me, and on Instagram @tomas_contra_duchenne I see the path they are taking in the fight for their son and the money pool and the possibility of helping the little one,” he added.
“Then I realized that they were in Puerto Varas and I had the concert the day after. “I thought about inviting them to my show to talk to all my fans and the public and to be able to help them in some way,” He maintained, adding that “unfortunately they were already in Frutillar.”
“And today… incredible fate means that in the van that we are on the way to Temuco where I have the concert tonight, I hear Caro (his manager) shouting ‘there are Tomás’ parents walking!’ I panic… “We immediately asked the driver to stop in the middle of the road and we got out to meet these incredible parents.”he said.
In his publication, Meneguzzi asked his followers for help with a donation in addition to calling for sharing the video. “Maybe other artists, influencers or someone else can do the same by sharing or walking with them for a while.”hill.
