The organization denounced the “dismantling of the Empower Work program and the halving of the salaries of 200,000 workers in the sector, and the freezing of amounts since November of last year.”
Sonia Cardozo, provincial territorial coordinator of Libres del Sur, expressed: “What Javier Milei’s government is doing with the workers is tremendous. First they ask for a data update in an impossible system, with thousands of failures and inconveniences to be able to achieve the update, and now this.”
“I call on those who were affected by the closure of the Empower Work Program, the beneficiaries of the new Accompany program who did not receive payment, and those affected by the non-payment of the double salary corresponding to the Empower Work Program, who were affected in their endeavors. We call on everyone to mobilize on Tuesday in a new day of protest,” he said.
“We will continue fighting. For genuine work and all our demands, we are not going to allow subjugation by this adjusting government,” stated Cardozo.
