During the last week, more than 100 thousand tourists have arrived in Córdoba, attracted by large events of national and international renown. This flow of visitors has generated income that exceeds 10 billion pesos in just 7 days.
Darío Capitani, director of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, expressed his satisfaction with this achievement, highlighting the fundamental role of cultural, sporting, religious and meeting events in the local economy. Among the notable events are the historic superclásico, the challenge to the Río Pinto in the Punilla valley, a congress of health professionals, and the recent match between Boca and Estudiantes.
Last night, the League Cup semi-final attracted more than 30,000 tourists, saturating hotel capacity near the Kempes Stadium and reaching 80% occupancy in the rest of the city’s establishments. Capitani praised the commitment of Governor Martín Llaryora and highlighted the focus on supporting events and festivals as engines of the regional economy and job generators.
Finally, he highlighted the teamwork with the private sector, which invests and supports to consolidate Córdoba as a prominent tourist destination at the national level.
