Deputies begin to discuss projects

After constant complaints from the opposition, and without a voted location having been achieved within the premises, the Budget and Finance Commission of the Chamber of Deputies will debate this Wednesday, from 4 p.m., the projects that seek to implement by law a new retirement mobility formula. Finally, the opinions that came from Social Security and Social Security will be dealt with in the commission chaired by the official José Luis Espert.

On March 25, through DNU 274/24, the national government modified the calculation for updating pension assets. There, he established a three-month transition schedule, taking into account the CPI (inflation) index, but the formula will begin to take full effect in July.

After this decision, the opposition accelerated the debate in the Social Security and Social Security Commission, led by the radical Gabriela Brouwer de KoningHowever, the official José Luis Espert He did not call the Budget, which he presides over. Finally, after the objective that La Libertad Avanza had regarding the Bases law and the fiscal package, the commission will address the issue.

While the ruling party and its Pro ally endorse the provisions of the Executive decree, the opposition presented its different proposals, without consensus, as there were three different opinions.

The proposals

• The majority office (13 signatures) in Social Security and Social Security was that of Unión por la Patria, which proposes maintaining the formula that combines RIPTE and ANSeS collection. (which the Government suspended due to DNU) on a quarterly basis, incorporating monthly advances tied to inflation. It also provides for a 30% recovery for assets.
• Meanwhile, the opinion of the UCR and HCF (7 firms) estimate a minimum floor for pensions in the amount of the Total Basic Basket, adjusted by CPI, but considers additional payments in case the RIPTE is above inflation. In turn, it establishes a plus of 8.1% to reach the 20.6% inflation rate for January, compared to the 12.5% ​​that the Executive established for April by DNU.
• The opinion of the Frente de Izquierda (a signature) indicates that no retiree may receive less than the amount equivalent to the Basic Basket for the Elderly. Regarding the update, IPC or RIPTE can be taken, depending on which is more favorable. And he insists on 82% mobile.
