The snow, ahead of winter, continues to generate complications in northern Patagonia, especially in the mountain area of Neuquén and Río Negro. The closed roads were added this Saturday the rescue of six people who had to spend the night in two trucks on Provincial Route 13, between Villa Pehuenia and Zapala.
The tasks were led by personnel from Pehuenia Volunteer Firefighters, Civil Defense, Provincial Highways and the health center of that townin charge of clearing the way before the thick layer of snow accumulated on the road.
One of the assisted vehicles had crossed the Icalma international crossing yesterday afternoon bound for Neuquén capital, but never arrived. His relatives gave notice around midnight, alerted by the lack of response.
Belén Aravena, head of the Pehuenia Fire Station, told Diario RÍO NEGRO that after several hours of searching, The vehicle was located about eight kilometers from Primeros Pinos, before reaching La Atravesada.
Inside, there were three adults, two men and one woman, who, despite the adverse weather conditions, were in good health.

Duplicate rescue on Route 13
In the same operation, Aravena said, they learned of another vehicle that had gone missing, this time when it was traveling in the Zapala-Pehuenia direction.
There were two women and a man traveling in it, all adults, who must have spent the night due to a mechanical problem and were also found this Saturday, without any health complications.
“They stayed at dawn due to a problem in the truck,” said the Fire Chief, adding that they were taken to the mountain town to wait for a fix.
