How to apply to PGU 2024? Step by Step

From the IPS They report that there are different ways to apply for the Universal Guaranteed Pension the 365 days of the year.

  • To apply by Internet you must enter www.chileatiende.cl or www.ips.gob.cl entering with your RUT and Unique Code.
  • Another option is to go in person to ChileAtiende or IPS branches.
  • Carry out the procedure in the municipality correspondent.
  • Or through you AFP or insurance companies (if you belong to these entities).

What are the PGU requirements?

  • The requested age is to have 65 years or older.
  • Not being part of the richest 10% of the population, this according to the Social Household Registry.
  • Credit residence in the territory of the Republic of Chile in these two cases:
    • A period of not less than 20 continuous or discontinuous years, from when the applicant has turned 20 years of age.
    • A period of no less than four years of residence in the last five years immediately preceding the date of submission of the application to benefit from the PGU benefit.
  • Have a base pension less than $1,114,446 (higher pension amount), determined by the Reference Self-Financing Pension (PAFE) of PGU.
