Motorcyclist lost his life in a fatal crash on the Neiva-Campoalegre road

The unexpected death of Juan Humberto Quintero, a 31-year-old university student, has left the community of Campoalegre, Huila, shocked.

Yesterday morning the Quintero family dressed in mourning in Campoalegre, a municipality recognized as the rice capital of Huila, upon receiving the devastating news of the death of Juan Humberto Quintero, 31 years old, in a tragic traffic accident.

The event took place on the national highway, specifically in the El Arenoso village, under the jurisdiction of the municipality of Rivera. Juan Humberto, who was heading home from the Universidad Surcolombiana in Neiva, was riding an AKT brand motorcycle NKD line, when he was involved in a head-on collision with a special service truck, a Renault Duster, in circumstances yet to be clarified. .

The efforts of some witnesses to help him were in vain, since Quintero had lost his life instantly due to the impact. The highway police arrived at the scene to control traffic and carry out the corresponding investigations, while Juan Humberto’s body was transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine. Responsibility for the accident has not yet been determined, although excessive speed and entering the opposite lane are considered possible causes. The Huila traffic authorities will carry out an exhaustive expert report to clarify what happened.
