A total of 658 students who graduated from the twelfth grade in all the pre-university schools in the province will take the entrance exams to higher education that will take place in unison in the country between May 7 and 14.
Miguel Castellanos Hernández, head of the pre-university Department in the General Directorate of Education, explained that eight application centers will operate in the territory and according to the schedule provided in its ordinary call, the tests will be carried out on the 7th (Mathematics), 10 ( Spanish) and 14 (History).
The educational leader also specified that a headquarters is defined in each municipality: in Yaguajay, the ESBU Camilo Cienfuegos; in Taguasco, the Antonio Maceo Mixed Center; in Cabaiguán, at the Nieves Morejón high school; in Fomento, in the Olga Alonso; in Trinidad, the ESBU Pedro Lantigua; in La Sierpe, the Pre Camilo Cienfuegos; Jatibonico will apply it at the Municipal University Center; and in the provincial capital at the headquarters of the José Martí University.
Castellanos Hernández said that for this process the educational sector has developed preparation actions with students through teleclasses and teachers in front of the classroom focused on the systematization of contents taught and that are objectives for the exams, as well as differentiated attention to students. .
