One more time, Road accidents mourn the routes of the province of Córdoba. In less than an hour, this Sunday there was a multiple crash in Capilla del Monte, and another accident in Río Tercero.
In the first, a 59-year-old man lost his life, and five other people were injured. In the second, a 17-year-old boy died.
Multiple crash in Capilla del Monte: what is known
According to the Córdoba Police, the 59-year-old man died after being involved in a pile-up on Route 38, near the town of Punilla.
The incident occurred around 8 in the morning, at kilometer 80, when a Peugeot Partner utility vehicle, a Toyota Hilux truck and a Volkswagen UP car collided.
According to reports, the Partner, driven by the fatal victim, collided head-on with the Hilux. After the head-on collision, the UP hit the vehicles.
The van was driven by a 23-year-old man, who was traveling with three companions. Meanwhile, the car was driven by a 26-year-old woman. All of them were rushed to a local hospital, with injuries of varying degrees.
Meanwhile, an emergency service worked at the scene and confirmed the death of the 59-year-old driver. The causes of the accident have not yet been established.
Río Tercero: a 17-year-old boy died
Less than an hour later, a 17-year-old young man died at the access roundabout to Río Tercero, on Route 6 towards Tancacha.
According to the first police data, the incident occurred around 8:30 this Sunday.
The young man was riding alone on a motorcycle, with a helmet on, and at the roundabout he lost control and hit a guardrail. In any case, Justice will now investigate the circumstances of the incident.
According to what was known, the fatal victim is Bautista Ortiz, residing in the neighboring city of Almafuerte.
Several serious road accidents have already been reported at the same roundabout, some of them fatal. And better signage and lighting in the sector is demanded.
