In the general standings, Pogacar now has a 45-second margin over Thomas and Martínez.
The man who had achieved the ‘maglia rosa’ on Saturday by triumphing in the first stage, the Ecuadorian Jhonatan Narváez, was thirtieth in the stage, 2 minutes and 3 seconds behind Pogacar.
