A group of more than 200 Astara Chile employees joined the renting program, choosing low or zero emission cars, aiming at its goal of being one of the leading companies in electromobility in Chile and the world. To achieve this, the company has carried out various actions, including having the widest range of low or zero emission vehicles, or being part of the Climate Group EV100, a global initiative that brings together companies from different sectors committed to electrification of their fleets by 2030, among others.
Astara Chile employees can opt for the renting program where the offer, starting this year, covers only electric vehicles or plug-in hybrids, another step in the search for mobility with low CO2 emissions.
«Our commitment to sustainable mobility is increasingly robust. We know that it is very important to provide a wide electrical offer, where everyone can find the car that fits their lifestyle. Likewise, for us it is equally important that those who make up Astara Chile are real ambassadors of electromobility. The best way to achieve this is by becoming users of these technologies, leading by example.” stated Ignacio Bengoechea, Automotive general manager of Astara Chile.
More than 10 models, including city cars, sedans, all-terrain vehicles and SUVs belonging to the BYD Auto, Chery, GAC Motor, Fiat, SsangYong and Jeep brands, were the offering from which collaborators could choose. In total, there are more than 220 who registered and starting this year they will begin to move on a low or zero emission vehicle.
The company’s commitment to electrification goes far beyond its fleet, as it extends to the brands it represents and distributes in Chile: Alfa Romeo, Bentley, BYD, Chery, Dodge, Exeed, Ferrari, Fíat, GAC Motor, Jeep, JMC, Maserati, Mitsubishi Motors, Ram, and SsangYong.
