An alcoholic young man crashed and killed a woman in La Plata

A woman died this Sunday as a result of a violent crash on Route 36 in La Plata. The person responsible for the accident was a 23-year-old young man who was driving drunk.

According to police sources, The young man lost control of his car after driving under the influence of alcohol and collided with a woman who was traveling aboard her motorcycle. The episode occurred this afternoon on the route near Melchor Romero.

The victim was later identified as María Rodriguez, 51 years old. For his part, the perpetrator of the crash was identified as David Flores and was driving a Renault Sandero at high speed.

As a result of the strong impact, the motorcycle was completely destroyed and its driver died from her injuries. For its part, the car overturned and ended up on the side of the road.

According to official reports, the driver of the vehicle had the smell of alcohol and for this reason he was subjected to a breathalyzer test that returned positive results. with 1.26 grams of alcohol in the blood.

With the confirmation of the report, the young man was charged with the crime of “wrongful homicide,” while authorities work to reconstruct the episode.
