Villalba brought forward the case against L-Gante for alleged illegitimate deprivation of liberty and threats against a municipal employee and a neighbor of General Rodríguez. The death of the 56-year-old prosecutor occurred almost simultaneously with the knowledge of the date that will begin the oral trial that will bring the artist to the stand, October 8.

The incident that the musician is accused of occurred in May 2023, when Darío Gastón Torres and Rosa Catalina Passi accused him of intimidating them at gunpoint, after several of the members of his group of friends, calling themselves “La Maflia”, were detained during an operation outside a bowling alley. For this, L-Gante is accused of the crimes of “threats, illegal deprivation of liberty, qualified threats, simple possession of narcotics and aggravated concealment”, which contemplate penalties in expectation exceeding ten years in prison.
