7th grade students from School No. 48 of Villa Garden of Kings They are carrying out a project that consists of improving, with a very particular technique, the walls of the educational establishment.

Beautify the school with art

Viviana Martínez is the Director of the school and said that the idea came from teachers but mainly from students with the aim of improving the walls of the school. “It is an area where it rains a lot throughout the year, so any type of paint we put on lasts very little and gets ruined”he explained.

That is why they decided to carry out a technique known as mosaicism which consists of using pieces of old mosaics and/or tiles to fill the walls converted into large murals.

“The idea came from one of the boys who said that all those who have this type of unused materials in their homes should bring them to school so they could work with the help of plastics teachers. “We want our students to leave their mark on our school”explained the director.

Thus, all the 7th grade students are working on these murals that can already be seen in the school and the residents of the area are also collaborating in this, who are bringing the materials to help the kids.

As for the drawings, they were made between the teachers of the plastic subjects and the children. One of them is very representative of the area since it is the figure of two gaucho dancers.

Viviana Martínez said that these works will take more time and invited the entire community of Villa Jardín de Reyes to bring these types of materials so that the children can finish the murals. Or you can call their cell phone number: 388 154380249.

“We are buying the glue with the help of the cooperative but we will always thank the community for all their collaboration. We buy the glue, that is, between teachers and directors, but any help will be welcome,” said the director.
