Commemorative activities for the 5th Anniversary of NIDO Parque Gral.

The administration of the NIDO Parque Gral. of the Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy, will begin on Wednesday the various activities commemorating the fifth anniversary of the creation of the green lung of Alto Comedero, with an open and free talk given by the Secretary of Planning and Environment and CONCET on the “Toucan Protection” plan in the Province.

Irma Ovejero, administrator of Parque Belgrano and the NIDO, emphasized that, “the Nido Parque General Belgrano and the Park have been serving the community for 5 years. This Municipal space, which has provided support to children, adults and many adolescents, celebrates its fifth year through different activities. We already did the chess tournament -on Saturday-, now we spend Wednesday the 8th, we are going to have an open talk by the Secretariat of Planning and Environment and also the CONICET about the “Protection of the Large Toucan” program.

The talk will take place in the morning and is intended for delegations from the city’s primary and secondary establishments, based on the main axes of “environmental education, for the conservation of this species and biodiversity in general; another is the citizen science part, which is the contribution of data from citizens to collaborate with the generation of knowledge; and the last axis is the scientific research part, which is the contribution of data from citizens, precisely an activity inherent to CONICET.”

“Then,” he continued, “we move on to Saturday the 11th, in the morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., to the skeet-park track where an open class will take place on the proper use and care of bicycles by experienced young people; “They have been formed to teach the children how to handle all the challenges and manage to do these beautiful pirouettes that give so much wonderful framework to our space.”

Meanwhile, on Monday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Argentine army will hold a day of activities for the community: there will be a shooting stand, a zip line stand, a stand, and also advice and information on entry as a volunteer soldier. “This proposal that brings the armed forces closer to the community has the objective that many of the children and adolescents in the sector can also meet them and exchange recreational moments and generate a broader bond.”

Ovejero, emphasized the announcements, for Sunday the 19th, a date that will commemorate the inauguration of the extensive facilities with a concert by music bands, in the amphitheater that will be attended by the RIM 20, the Provincial Police and the Music School of Jujuy” and added that the activities “will conclude on the 31st with the ceremony starting at 6:00 p.m., of naming the Belgrano Park amphitheater, which will be renamed “Chuña” Iriarte, in homage to the renowned artist from Jujuy.”
