Little Tomás’ mother continues her crusade against Duchenne disease.
In the midst of the storm of wind and rain that hits the area, Camila Gómez and Marcos Reyes, the parents of children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, walk along Route 5 Sur from Paillaco to Los Lagos.
The weather conditions do not matter for these parents who seek to make visible the situation that children who suffer from this disease go through and, at the same time, obtain resources so that little Tomás Ross can access the medication that allows him to continue moving forward.
During their journey, the parents are supported by Carabineros and at the same time they receive greetings from all those who wait for them on the route to give them a word of encouragement.
It is expected that this afternoon they will arrive in Los Lagos where they will be received by local authorities in an event prepared at the Cultural Center.
The possibility of moving to Valdivia this day is being analyzed, but so far this option has not been confirmed.
