Café Gins Origin Seville and Café 2 Vertientes, two coffee products from Valle del Cauca, received Gold Medal recognition in the World Selection of Food Products 2024, awarded by the Monde Selection International Quality Institute based in Brussels, Belgium.

This international recognition highlights excellence in coffee production in the region, consolidating Valle del Cauca as a quality benchmark in the coffee industry.

The Origin Seville Coffee Gins, produced by the company Cafexcoop SA and Café 2 Vertientes, registered trademark of the Coffee Growers Cooperative of the Center of the Valley – Caficentro, were the products that obtained the distinction in this edition.

This award is proof of the meticulous evaluation process carried out by a panel of experts, which considers a wide range of factors, from taste and aroma to texture and presentation of the product.

The Monde Selection awards are a globally recognized mark of quality, providing consumers with the confidence to select high-calibre products.

The Gold Medal reflects the commitment and dedication of the coffee growers of Valle del Cauca in the production of coffee of exceptional quality, as well as the capacity of the local roasting industry to enhance the excellence of its products.

The award-winning coffees, Café Ginebras Origen Sevilla and Café 2 Vertientes, are recognized for their unique sensory characteristics.

Café Gins Origen Sevilla is distinguished by its sweetness, fragrance and soft aroma, as well as its panela and melao flavor, medium citric acidity and balanced and creamy body.

For its part, Café 2 Vertientes is characterized by its notes of caramel, bitter chocolate and floral, with citric acidity, long-lasting and balanced body, and an additional vinous residual persistent in the drink.

The International Quality Institute Monde Selection evaluated a series of variables to award the medals, including packaging design, label information, taste, aroma, visual appearance, aftertaste, smell, and texture and feel. in mouth.
