In a surveillance operation in Garzón, the authorities managed to capture an individual allegedly linked to the sale of narcotics in the diocesan capital of Huila. According to police reports, the subject, identified as ‘Lucho’, tried to evade police control when he noticed the presence of uniformed officers in the Julio Bahamón neighborhood.

Under police pressure, ‘Lucho’ abandoned a bag that contained a considerable amount of hallucinogens and, riding a bicycle, pulled out a gun with the intention of intimidating the officers and escaping from the scene. However, the police acted quickly and used a taser device to subdue him, disarm him and finally capture him.

In the bag abandoned by the individual, the authorities found 192 marijuana cigarettes, 267 doses of bazooka, as well as two sharp weapons (a knife and a machete), in addition to a sum of cash, supposedly obtained from the sale of narcotics. .

The police officers, a woman and a man, carried out the capture and confiscation of the pneumatic gun, narcotics, knives, cash and the bicycle that ‘Lucho’ used to get around. Subsequently, the individual was placed at the disposal of the URI Prosecutor’s Office on duty, where he will face charges for trafficking, possession and/or manufacture of narcotics.
