Dozens of simultaneous raids were carried out in different countries in Latin America and Europe within the framework of the third stage of the operation called “Allies for Children”, which began with the aim of dismantling and combating the Sexual Exploitation of Boys, Girls and Adolescents. .

As reported by the CABA Public Prosecutor’s Office, on this occasion 33 raids were carried out in various provinces of Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Paraguay, Panama, Puerto Rico, Germany, Costa Rica and Peru.

In our country, action was taken with the participation of the three Federal Forces, which are the Argentine Federal Police (PFA), the Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) and the National Gendarmerie (GNA), as well as the City Police and Provincial Police.

The provinces in which the actions were focused were Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Córdoba, Entre Ríos, Tucumán, Salta, Chubut, Corrientes, Formosa, Jujuy, Río Negro and Land of Fireordering to proceed with the respective raids.

So far there are 15 people detained in Argentina, of which 4 are in the Federal Capital, 3 in Santa Fe, 1 in Buenos Aires and 1 in Salta. In addition, 176 items related to sexual abuse of children and adolescents were seized.

The operation was initiated jointly between the MPF and the authorities of the United States Embassy in Argentina, the US Department of Homeland Security of the United States.

With data collected by the Cybercrime Unit of the Judicial Investigation Corps (CIJ) of the Buenos Aires MPF, it was possible to identify a large number of users of this material distributed throughout the national territory. The possible owners and the locations from where the connections were established were identified.

According to Attorney General Juan Bautista Mahiques, in total, “more than 100 users of P2P networks” (peer-to-peer) were investigated, which were distributed in Argentina and the rest of the countries mentioned above.

It is worth mentioning that “Allies for Childhood III” is the corollary of Allies I and II, which were held in August and December 2023 respectively.
