On this occasion, the former presidential candidate questioned the political coherence that the former mayor of Bogotá has had in recent years due to her repeated statements.
“Today Claudia López is unleashed, speaking everywhere. With his usual tone, trying to cover up all the inconsistencies and inconsistencies he has had for many years. But, what about that tweet that said ‘we finally won, Gustavo’?” criticized the former mayor of Medellín and former governor of Antioquia.
In that last aspect, Fajardo used a fragment of an interview that Claudia López gave to journalist Yesid Lancheros, deputy director of information for the magazine WEEK in December 2022, when the then president of the Colombian capital confessed that she voted for President Gustavo Petro and that she was excited about her political project.
“I voted for President Petro. I believe in the change that he represents, I am excited about this time of change. I know that changes generate a little instability and fear, a little uncertainty. Yes, it is part of what changes bring. “Damn, but in the end we won,” Lopez said at the time.
Later, Fajardo compares López’s words with those he currently has about the president. “Yes, the one who right now says that she has nothing to do with President Petro,” she added with what the former mayor recently said on Noticias Caracol after resigning from her party.
Fajardo highlighted that his old vice presidential formula from the 2018 campaign uses his usual style, “It’s a common story, it works for him, he uses it, it doesn’t work for him, he kicks it, today it was my turn. So to wash her hands of it so they don’t call her an opportunist, she decides to talk about me. In private my beloved prince tells me, let’s talk. In public stabbed from behind.”
His questions to López, the former candidate concludes with a forceful phrase, “There is no way to wash away incoherence, inconsistency no matter how much it is disguised, “So Claudia unleashed corroborating what we all know.”
However, a reaction that surprised many about this video was that of President Petro, who responded to Fajardo’s video with an unexpected response to someone who has always been one of his political opponents: “OK”.
