In a joint operation between authorities from the department of Huila and the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), the individual known as alias ‘Lora’ was captured, requested by a court in the judicial district of Antioquía for the crime of aggravated theft. This subject, identified as a coffee picker, had arrived in the municipality of Gigante as part of his work in harvesting the grain.

The capture of ‘Lora’ was carried out within the framework of the 2024 Harvest Plan, an initiative that seeks to guarantee security and compliance with the law during coffee harvesting in the region. The arrest warrant was issued due to his alleged participation in the theft of a motorcycle in the form of hauling, which occurred on March 9, 2023 in the rural area of ​​the municipality of Betania, Antioquía.

Colonel Carlos Téllez, commander of the Huila Police Department, highlighted the importance of this type of operations to prevent the recidivism of people with judicial records in criminal activities in the region.
