In Armenia, the Quindío Police, in collaboration with the Prosecutor’s Office 52 of the Specialized Directorate of Extinction of Property Rights of Pereira, has carried out an operation that has resulted in the materialization of precautionary measures on two homes and the seizure of a vehicle . These assets, located in the Jardín del Edén and Simón Bolívar neighborhoods of the city, have an estimated value of $240 million pesos.
The police action is part of an investigation that indicates the use of these properties by the Common Organized Crime Group “Los Verdes” for the storage and distribution of narcotic substances in the southern area of Armenia. This criminal group was dismantled in May 2022.
The confiscated assets have been delivered to the Special Assets Society (SAE) for the corresponding legal procedures. This blow to the criminal structure contributes significantly to the fight against drug trafficking in the region.
