The prices of goods and services in Cúcuta continue to decline in the country. In Cúcuta, the annual inflation rate fell to 7.05%ranking 12th in the table of 23 major cities.

According to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) report delivered by the director of the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE), Piedad Urdinola, the capital of Norte de Santander was even below the national average (7.16%).

Cartagena (0.87%), Barranquilla (0.86%) and Sincelejo (0.86) were positioned as the cities with the most increase of prices last month.

At the national level, the largest contributions to annual inflation It was done by the categories of education (11.40 pp), transportation (10.42 pp) and restaurants and hotels (9.80 pp).

The monthly variation in Colombia was led by food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.16%); accommodation, water and electricity (0.93%), and miscellaneous goods and services (0.48%).

According to DANE, 13 months of correction completed in the cost of living of Colombians, after the peak of 13.34% (March 2023).
