A total of 28 students from 4th ESO and 1st Baccalaureate from IES San José visit the City Hall on the occasion of the celebration of Europe Day which is celebrated this Thursday, May 9.

These students have participated in the Erasmus+ project where 4th year ESO students traveled to France last March. A seven-day stay where they carried out various activities in the city of Motigny-les and Bretonneux, near Paris while spending time with their French classmates from the Lyceé Descartes and their families.

Activities framed within the eTwinning project of cooperation between educational centers whose main axis is sport and healthy living. Since the Olympic Games are held in the city of Paris, they have had the opportunity to visit several Olympic venues such as the National Velodrome or the Stade de France.

Regarding the 1st year Baccalaureate students, they have been in Germany, specifically in Cologne. They have been collaborating on various exchange projects with the Nell-Breuning Berufskolleg institute for 15 years now. The participants visited, among other monuments and places, the Cologne Cathedral, the city of Bonn, Aachen and Brühl.

On May 9, all participants received their Europass Mobility Document which reflects the skills acquired during their stay abroad according to the recommendations of the Erasmus+ program. Prior to this delivery, two students have read a manifesto in which they value European unity.

With these students has been the mayor Ana Belén Fernández who has had the opportunity to learn about the experiences they have had participating in the project and what it has meant for each and every one of them.
