Despite not being physically present, Santiago Alexander Daza, the mayor of Rondón, was elected yesterday as president of the Association of Municipalities of the province of Lengupá (Asolengupá).

And he achieved it unanimously after obtaining the support of the mayors of the seven municipalities that make up the association: Páez, Campohermoso, Miraflores, San Eduardo, Berbeo, Zetaquira and of course Rondón.

The meeting was brought forward yesterday in Miraflores, but it was impossible for the Rondón president to arrive, because the important appointment crossed paths with an issue that could not be postponed at the local school, so he had to participate virtually and convinced, to be elected as president of the association for a period of one year.

Asolengupá is the association of municipalities in the province of Lengupá through which regional projects such as the Comprehensive Regional Solid Waste Management Plan (Pgirs) or the regional solid waste plant are managed, and even as the governor promised them a machinery bank, they hope to be able to manage it from this union. For this reason, many wondered where the elected mayor was, since only the six remaining mayors appeared in the official photo of the meeting, to which Santiago Alexander Daza responded that he was the one who took the photo of his fellow mayors. .
