Campesinos and cooperative members from Cienfuegos, with relevant experience in the Anapista organization and outstanding productive achievements, received the Antero Regalado distinction and the José Ramírez Cruz special seal.
Armando Carranza Valladares, first secretary of the Party in Cienfuegos, together with other members of the Provincial Committee, leaders of the Government and the political and mass organizations of the territory, presided over the ceremony of awarding the decorations approved by the Bureau of the National Association of Small Farmers.
The meeting became a solemn moment to encourage men and women from the countryside in Cienfuegos, whose main mission is to cultivate the land to produce food for the population, challenging the deficiencies and adversities imposed by the economic and financial blockade of the United States to the island.
Yasmín Jiménez Álvarez, provincial president of the peasant organization and the members of the presidency, awarded the decorations and sent congratulations to those who, with their daily effort and entrepreneurial work, managed to have the ANAP in Cienfuegos exhibit, this Peasant’s Day, the status of Featured in the national emulation for the anniversary.
The delivery of the awards is part of the activities that take place in the territory for the commemoration of May 17, on the 78th anniversaries of the murder of the peasant leader Niceto Pérez García, the 65th of the signing of the Agrarian Reform Law and the 63 of the ANAP being established.
