During this afternoon, the raid of the Metropolitan Regional Government of Santiago is being carried out, in the midst of an investigation for the alleged crime of tax fraud under the administration of former mayor Felipe Guevara (RN).
The proceedings are under the control of the Eastern Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office, which, accompanied by Carabineros officials, seeks the seizure of a series of computers.
The administration of former Mayor Guevara, who held that position during the years 2019 and 2021, in the second term of former President Sebastián Piñera, would be the subject of this investigation as a result of million-dollar transfers for massive Zumba, spinning and functional training workshops.
Let us remember that the governor of the Metropolitan region, Claudio Orrego, was the one who filed a complaint about this situation when he took office.
The regional administrator of the Metropolitan Government of Santiago, Manuel Gallardo, valued this operation.
“Its object, its objective, the world that the addresses reached territorially, the purpose of the project was practically copy and paste,” he said.
Ante added that “we did an internal investigation and we also realized that there were relationships between those who were legal representatives and executors or coordinators of these projects.”
